Remember a Charity Week; 10% OFF for Crouch End Cardholders!
Have you thought about leaving something to charity in your Will?
Most people don’t. Yet legacies in Wills still generate £2 billion a year for UK charities. That’s the equivalent of 19 Comic Reliefs! This week is National Remember a Charity Week.
So if you’re thinking about getting your Will sorted make sure you leave something to your favourite one. Many charities would simply be unable to carry on without them.
A legacy doesn't have to be a large sum of cash. Many of our clients leave all sorts of things, from shares to paintings to jewelry – anything helps.
It’s a strange fact that while 75% of us donate to charity, only 6% of us actually remember to leave something in our Will.
That’s a statistic we’d like to change, so please remember to think about them when discussing your wishes with your Will writer.
It’s also worth remembering that leaving a legacy can have very favorable tax benefits too.
To find out more contact our Will consultants and we’ll be happy to help you through the process.
Or you can read our helpful guide Making a Will; what to expect. It answers many of the most frequently asked questions that our customers ask.
